DJ's Care Village exists to support and educate caregivers of individuals with disabilities across the lifespan by providing community-based programs and meaningful connections.
We are committed to educating not just caregivers, but the broader community. Awareness alone is not enough—true understanding and inclusion are what create lasting change.
Too often, families navigating disabilities feel isolated, like they are living in a world of their own. That sense of exclusion is real, and it should not be the norm. DJ's Care Village exists to help change that.

Founder & Executive Director
Teona Stanfield is a caregiver, advocate, and founder of DJ's Care Village, Inc. Her journey began with her son DJ's autism diagnosis — a moment that changed everything. Like many caregivers, she left that appointment with more questions than answers and little guidance on what to do next.
Instead of staying in that place, she turned her frustration into purpose. With over 25 years of experience in healthcare, Teona brings both personal and professional insight — understanding systems, families, and most importantly, what it feels like to navigate it all without support.
Vice President
Daniel Chaney has dedicated the past 16 years to Early Childhood Education, serving as a resource special educator, self-contained Pre-K teacher, and educator supporting multilingual learners. He holds a B.S. in Human Services, a master's in Special Education with an Autism emphasis, and an administrative certification in Educational Leadership.
Inspired by his experience as DJ's former teacher, Daniel felt called to join DJ's Care Village in a deeper way — strengthening his commitment to building inclusive, supportive communities for all families impacted by disability.
Treasurer
Danielle Rigby brings extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, financial management, and community advocacy. She currently works in financial operations within the healthcare and nonprofit sectors and is pursuing her doctorate in Public Administration at the University of Baltimore.
As a mother of a child with disabilities, Danielle's lived experience fuels her commitment to advocacy and creating meaningful community impact — strengthening DJ's Care Village's financial sustainability while supporting families navigating disability care.
Secretary
Sarita Sullivan brings over a decade of specialized expertise in ASD and self-contained classroom leadership. She began her career within Baltimore City Schools as an Early Learning educator and now serves as a Learning Support Teacher for second and third grades in the Culpeper community.
A tireless champion for the belief that every student deserves a seat at the table, Sarita is a passionate advocate for DJ's Care Village — driven by the conviction that empowering caregivers is essential to navigating the special needs journey.
Whether you need support, want to educate yourself, or wish to contribute to our mission, there is a place for you here.
